What are my options for storing luggage at Seoul Station and Incheon?

The storage desk is below ground, in the Line 1 subway part of the station. The airport's listing describes it like this: Staffed luggage storage is between Exit 1 and Exit 2 on B1. Seoul Metro's own listing for its T-Luggage counter points to the same part of the station: The T-luggage counter at Seoul Station (Line 1) is on B1, around exit 1. Head for that exit.

The City Airport Terminal, in the Airport Railroad part of the station, is on a different level: B2 Level, Seoul Station Airport Railroad. If you plan to drop a bag and then catch the train to the airport, or collect a bag after arriving on it, allow time to move between the two levels.

How do the unmanned subway lockers work?

Seoul Metro runs its own locker network, separate from the staffed counters. Unmanned T-Locker lockers are available within Seoul subway stations, with a total of 332 locations and 5,511 lockers.

T-Locker banks are sized small, middle and big, and the count of each differs by station exit. So the mix of sizes at one exit may not match another; if you are carrying a full-size suitcase and the first bank has no suitable locker, check the locker bank at a second exit before giving up.

Payment: Reserve and pay through the T-Locker app, or pay at the kiosk after visiting the locker (payment channel varies by location). If a kiosk will not accept your card, try the app route, or use a staffed T-Luggage counter instead.

Can I send my bag from a subway station to Incheon Airport the same day?

The fee is not a flat rate. Delivery fee is charged based on distance travelled after storage, calculated automatically and charged to the registered payment method. That means you need a payment method registered with the service, and the final charge depends on the distance the bag travels.

A typical same-day sequence looks like this:

1. Book online in advance, or go to the counter at your station and register the bag in person.
2. Hand the bag over and check out of your hotel or carry on sightseeing without it.
3. Travel to the airport with just a day bag.
4. Collect the case at the airport end of the service; confirm the collection point when you book.

Leave yourself a margin at the airport end as well, so that collecting the bag does not eat into your check-in time.

Where are the luggage counters at Incheon Airport?

For some travellers, yes. The City Airport Terminal at Seoul Station lets you check in and complete departure immigration in the city, then ride to Incheon on the Express train. The conditions are strict:

• Who can use it: Available only to Express train customers at Seoul Station.
• Which flights: International flights departing from Incheon Airport on the same day.
• Which airlines: Airlines available for check-in vary by city airport terminal; check with the respective terminal.

Once you are checked in: After ticket validation on B2 Level of Seoul Station Airport Railroad, board the Express train at B7 Level.

The benefit continues at the other end. Customers who complete check-in and immigration screening at a city airport terminal can use the fast departure lane on the 3rd floor at Incheon International Airport.

If your airline is not available there, or your flight time does not fit the check-in hours and cut-off, use T-Luggage delivery or carry the bag to the airport yourself.

How does luggage storage fit around a KTX trip from Seoul Station?

Start with the train's own rule. A passenger must be able to carry their own luggage (no more than two pieces), and it must not occupy a seat or block the aisle. If you have more than you can comfortably manage on and off the train, store or send the rest before you board.

Common patterns:

• Day trip out of Seoul by KTX. Leave the big case at the Seoul Station T-Luggage desk in the morning, travel with a day bag, and collect the case when you return. Check the desk's closing time before you set off, because a late train back could leave you outside opening hours.
• Arriving in Seoul by KTX with an evening flight. Store the case at Seoul Station while you spend the day in the city, or send it straight to the airport with T-Luggage so you can go to Incheon with a day bag.
• Leaving Seoul by KTX after checking out of a hotel. Drop the bag at Seoul Station, spend the day out, and collect it with a generous margin before departure. The desk is in the subway part of the station, so allow time to walk back to the KTX platforms.

If you are moving between the Airport Railroad side of the station and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line side on a commuter ticket, note this restriction: No transfer between Airport Railroad / Line 1 / Line 4 Seoul Station and Gyeongui-Jungang Line Seoul Station with a commuter ticket.

What if the bag queue makes me late for my KTX?

The refund rules depend on timing. A refund can be requested from the [MY TICKET] menu on the KORAIL website before the train's departure time; after departure it must be requested at the station counter; no refund is possible after the train's arrival time.

The charge is higher once the train has left than it is shortly before departure:

• 3 hours before departure to less than 20 minutes before departure: 15% penalty (Mon-Thu) or 10% penalty (Fri-Sun, bank holidays).
• After departure, 20-60 minutes: 40% penalty (Mon-Thu) or 20% penalty (Fri-Sun, bank holidays).

What if a counter is closed or a bag goes missing?

The Seoul Station desk is closed. Try the T-Locker lockers, or take the bag to a T-Luggage counter at one of the other listed stations. At Incheon late at night, the ZIMCARRY luggage delivery counter near check-in counter N in Terminal 1 is listed as open around the clock.

You left something at the airport. Incheon's Lost and Found has an office in each terminal.

You left something on the Airport Railroad, an airport bus or the aircraft. Items lost on an aircraft, airport bus or airport railroad are handled by the respective organization, not the airport Lost and Found. Contact the respective operator or airline directly rather than the airport office.

You use a wheelchair and have heavy bags.
