Incheon Airport limousine bus: routes, tickets and luggage
WooDong · How we verify · sources checked SEP 6, 2026
Highlights
The short answer
To reach Seoul by airport limousine bus, you usually buy a ticket at a staffed counter or vending machine inside the terminal before boarding. At Terminal 2, buses to downtown Seoul need a ticket bought before boarding; at Terminal 1 a few routes also take cash or a transport card at the stop. On the way back to the airport you pay the driver in cash or with a T-money card; passes such as the Climate Card are not accepted, and a credit card is only handed to the driver in unavoidable cases. Luggage is limited per passenger. This applies to foreign visitors travelling between Incheon Airport and central Seoul, checked against the operator's official pages in September 2026.

This guide is for visitors landing at Incheon International Airport (인천국제공항) who plan to ride the Airport Limousine bus into Seoul, and for anyone taking the same bus back to the airport at the end of a trip. It brings together the route list, where to buy a ticket at each terminal, how payment works in each direction, the luggage rules, children's fares, and what to do if a delay or a lost bag gets in the way. Fares, stops and counter hours below come from the operator's own pages. Routes and rules do change, so look at the operator's site again in the week before you fly.
Which limousine bus route goes to my part of Seoul?
Choose the route by the stop nearest your accommodation rather than by district name. Each route runs to a fixed list of hotel and station stops, and the buses serve both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. These are the city routes covered in this guide, with the adult and child fares the operator lists for each:
| Route | Area served | Adult fare | Child fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6001 | Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Seoul Station | ₩17,000 | ₩12,000 |
| 6015 | Myeongdong, Namdaemun Market, Gongdeok, Mapo | ₩17,000 | ₩12,000 |
| 6010 | Wangsimni, Hannam, Dongbuichon-dong | ₩17,000 | ₩12,000 |
| 6007 | Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo, Dangsan | ₩17,000 | ₩12,000 |
| N6000 (late night, from the airport) | Songjeong, Yeomchang, Gangnam Express Bus Terminal | ₩17,000 | ₩10,000 |
The full stop lists, as the operator publishes them:
- Route 6001 (Dongdaemun) stops: Baiton Hotel, Nine Tree Dongdaemun, Western Coop, Novotel Ambassador, Euljiro Coop, Dongdaemun DDP, Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Toyoko Inn Hotel, Myeongdong Station, Bank of Korea, Seoul Station Exit 3, Seoul Station Transfer Center, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
- Route 6015 (Myeongdong) stops: Lotte Hotel, Ibis Myeongdong, Royal Hotel (Euljiro 1-ga), Myeongdong Station, Hoehyeon Station (Namdaemun Market), Chungjeongno Station, Gongdeok Station, Mapo Station, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
- Route 6007 (Yeouido) stops: National Assembly (Glad Hotel), Kensington Hotel, Yeouinaru Station, Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, IFC Mall (Conrad Seoul), Korea Exchange, Yeongdeungpo Station, Times Square, Dangsan Station, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
- N6000 (airport to city) stops: Incheon Airport Terminal 2, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Songjeong Station, Yeomchang Station, Gangnam Express Bus Terminal.
Myeongdong and Itaewon
Of the stop lists above, two include Myeongdong Station (명동역): route 6001 and route 6015. Route 6015 also calls at several hotels around Myeongdong and Euljiro and at Hoehyeon Station for Namdaemun Market. Route 6001, unlike route 6015, also stops around Dongdaemun and Seoul Station. Compare the two stop lists above against your hotel's address before you queue.
None of the stop lists above name Itaewon Station (이태원역) itself. For Itaewon, look at route 6010: Route 6010 stops include Wangsimni Station, Hannam-dong, Hannam Station (near Itaewon), and Dongbuichon-dong, ending at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2. Work out the last stretch from Hannam Station to your accommodation on a map app before you land, so you are not doing it at the roadside with luggage.
Hongdae
For Hongdae: N6002 is the night counterpart of route 6002 between Incheon Airport and Hongdae. The Hongdae drop-off stop for city-bound buses on both routes moved with effect from 2026-07-01. The operator explains the change in its notice. The stop was moved to reduce congestion and delays caused by luggage unloading in the centre lane. If someone is meeting you at Hongdae, send them the operator's notice rather than an older map pin.
Where do I buy a limousine bus ticket at Terminal 1?
Terminal 1 has staffed ticket counters and separate vending machines on the first floor, and they do not keep the same hours.
- Staffed counters: T1: 1st floor, inside the ticket offices by Gates 4, 6, 9 and 11.
- Vending machines: T1: 1st floor, machines by Gates 4, 7, 8 and 11 and around the indoor ticket offices.
- Airport bus information desk: Airport Bus Information desk near Exit 11 in the public area on 1st Floor, Terminal 1.
One staffed counter, counter 4, is listed as running continuously apart from a closure in the early hours of the morning. If the staffed counters are shut when you arrive, use a vending machine instead; their hours are set out in the next section.
The general rule for buses into the city is simple. Buy a ticket at the ticket booth at Incheon International Airport before boarding. Ticket holders board first, and this includes late-night buses. At Terminal 1 there is an exception. Routes 6001, 6002 and 6015 at Terminal 1 only are first-come, first-served, and accept cash, a transportation card or a ticket.
Why do I need a ticket before boarding at Terminal 2?
Passengers boarding Airport Limousine buses to downtown Seoul at Terminal 2 must buy a ticket in advance, including on routes 6001, 6002 and 6015. The rule has applied since 2026-03-05. Buy the ticket first, then walk out to the bus stop.
- Staffed counter: Basement 1, towards the west short-term car park.
- Vending machines: T2: Basement 1, in the concourse, near the bus stops and near the airport railroad entrance.
- Airport bus information desk: Airport Bus Information desk open 24 hours near Exit 9 on 1F, Terminal 2.
The operator lists its ticket vending machines as open 24 hours, including late-night bus tickets, which matters if you land after the staffed counters have closed.
How do the two terminals compare?
| Terminal 1 | Terminal 2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Staffed counter hours | 05:40–22:20 (counter 4 runs continuously apart from an overnight closure) | 04:00–24:00 |
| Ticket before boarding | Needed, except that routes 6001, 6002 and 6015 are first-come, first-served and also take cash or a transport card at boarding | Needed on Airport Limousine buses to downtown Seoul |
| Counter phone | 032-741-6400 | 032-741-8918 |
If you are not sure which terminal your airline uses, check your booking before you land; the counters, hours and ticket rules above differ between the two buildings.
How do I pay for the limousine bus?
Into Seoul, you pay when you buy the ticket at the counter or machine, before boarding; the exception is the Terminal 1 first-come routes described above, which also accept cash or a transportation card at boarding. On the way back to the airport, the operator's rules are:
- Towards the airport: cash or a transportation card (T-money) paid to the driver. Credit cards cannot be processed on the bus.
- Credit cards cannot be used to pay on the bus; in unavoidable cases, hand the card to the driver and settle payment immediately after arriving at Incheon Airport.
- The Climate Card and Discover Seoul Pass, among others, cannot be used to pay the fare.
- There is no advance reservation system, including online, for buses toward the airport.
In practice, top up a T-money card or keep enough won in cash for the fare before you head to the stop on your last day. The card hand-over is a fallback for when there is no other way, not a normal payment method.
How much luggage can I take on the limousine bus?
The operator's luggage limits, per passenger:
- Up to 2 pieces of luggage per passenger; each piece under 28 inches and under 20kg.
- Luggage of 20kg or more, or over 28 inches, is allowed up to 1 piece per passenger.
- Luggage dimensions (length + width + height) must be 158cm or less.
- One golf bag plus one carry-on under 28 inches is allowed per passenger.
- Bicycles cannot be loaded, due to risk of damage to the bicycle and other passengers' luggage.
Pieces beyond the free allowance are charged per piece: ₩8,000 at Incheon and ₩4,000 at Gimpo. If you are close to the size limit, measure the case at home. If you are bringing a bicycle, plan a different way into the city.
What do children pay on the limousine bus?
Child fares for each route are in the table at the top of this guide. Who counts as a child:
- The child fare applies to elementary school pupils; from middle school upwards the adult fare applies.
- One pre-school child accompanying one passenger travels free; a child fare applies if a seat is requested or if one passenger brings two children.
If you want a toddler to have their own seat on a full bus, buy a child ticket for them at the counter rather than hoping for a spare seat.
Is there a limousine bus late at night?
Route N6000 runs overnight between the airport and Gangnam. From the airport:
- N6000 departs Incheon Airport Terminal 2 for the city at 23:50, 00:30, 01:10, 01:50, 03:20 and 04:00.
- A ticket must be purchased in advance at the ticket counter or an unmanned ticket machine before boarding the airport-to-city N6000 night bus.
- The airport-to-city N6000 night bus does not stop at Heukseok Station.
Back to the airport from Gangnam:
- N6000 departs Gangnam Express Bus Terminal for the airport at 23:20, 00:00, 01:40, 02:20, 03:00 and 03:30.
- For the airport-bound N6000 night bus, only cash or a T-money transit card are accepted.
The night departures are spread out, so if you miss one you may wait a long time for the next. Buy your ticket from a vending machine as soon as you clear customs, and head to the stop with time in hand.
When should I buy my ticket if my flight might be late?
If you book onward transport before you land, leave room for immigration. The airport's own advice for anyone booking public transport from the airport: Allow 1-2 hours for immigration after the flight lands before a booked departure. For route 6001, the operator notes: Route 6001 uses first-come, first-served seating with no online reservation.
On internet tickets, the operator notes: Internet tickets can be issued up to 1 hour before the route's departure.
What if I miss my bus or my flight is delayed?
If you bought your ticket at the airport and missed the bus, this guide has no verified detail on whether that ticket can be changed. Ask at a staffed counter, or call the counter numbers in the terminal table above. At Terminal 2, buses to downtown Seoul need a ticket bought in advance, so sort this out before you walk to the stop.
If you hold a ticket for a set departure, the operator's cancellation fee grows the closer you get to that departure:
| When you cancel | Fee or rule |
|---|---|
| Two days or more before departure | No cancellation fee if cancelled up to 2 days (48 hours) before the scheduled departure |
| Between one hour and fifteen minutes before departure | 20% of the ticket fare |
| Less than fifteen minutes before departure | 30% of the ticket fare |
| Up to three hours after departure | 50% of the ticket fare |
| More than three hours after departure | No refund possible more than 3 hours after the scheduled departure |
This guide has no verified fee for cancelling between two days and one hour before departure, so check with the operator if you need to cancel in that window.
On the way back to the airport, you can see where your bus is before you leave the hotel. Real-time bus location is available via the Seoul bus information service (bus.go.kr). Check it before you head to the stop.
Who do I contact if I leave something on the bus?
Call the bus operator, not the airport. Items lost on an aircraft, airport bus or airport railroad are handled by the respective organization, not the airport Lost and Found.
- Operator lost property line: 032-743-7607.
- Operator's Seoul office for lost property: 02-2665-1094 (02-2664-9898).
Have your route number, the stop you got off at and the rough time ready before you call. If you lost the item inside the terminal before boarding, the airport's own offices handle it instead:
- Terminal 1: Lost and Found Office, B1 Floor, Terminal 1.
- Terminal 2: Lost and Found Office, One-stop Public Service, 2nd Floor, Public Area, Terminal 2.
- Found items are registered on the Police Civil Service 24 portal (https://minwon24.police.go.kr) where the owner can search.

Questions people ask
Do I need to buy a ticket before boarding at Terminal 2?
Yes. Passengers boarding Airport Limousine buses to downtown Seoul at Terminal 2 must buy a ticket in advance, at a counter or a vending machine. See the Terminal 2 section above for where to find them.
Can I pay by credit card on the limousine bus back to the airport?
Not as a rule. The driver takes cash or a transport card such as T-money; handing a card to the driver to settle at the airport is only for unavoidable cases. The payment section above has the details.
Does the Climate Card or Discover Seoul Pass work on the limousine bus?
No. The operator lists both as not accepted for the fare towards the airport, so carry cash or a topped-up T-money card.
Which limousine bus should I take to Myeongdong?
More than one route stops at Myeongdong Station. Compare their stop lists in the route section and pick the one nearest your hotel.
What happens if my flight is late and I miss the bus?
If you bought your ticket at the airport, this guide has no verified detail on changing it, so ask at a staffed counter. If you hold a ticket for a set departure, a cancellation fee applies that rises as departure approaches; the missed-bus section sets out the scale.
Who do I call about something left on the limousine bus?
Contact the bus operator's lost property line rather than the airport lost and found. The numbers are in the lost property section above.
