Highlights

The short answer

At Terminal 1, you buy limousine bus tickets on the first floor, at booths and machines near the numbered exits and gates. At Terminal 2, tickets are sold on Basement 1: the vending machines are near the bus stops and the airport railway entrance, and the staffed counter is towards the west short-term car park. Terminal 2 requires a ticket before boarding a city-bound limousine, while at Terminal 1 the Dongdaemun route and two other city routes board first-come, first-served with cash, a transport card or a ticket. If you are unsure which terminal you are in, ask at an information desk. Details were checked against the bus operator's and Incheon Airport's official pages in September 2026.

This guide is for travellers catching the Airport Limousine bus at Incheon International Airport (인천국제공항), and for anyone riding the same buses back to the airport at the end of a trip. It deals with the part that tends to go wrong on the day: finding the ticket point and the boarding area in each terminal, knowing which of the two terminals you are in, and how the Dongdaemun and Yeouido routes work at both ends. Fares for the other routes and luggage limits are covered in our main limousine bus guide. This page gives the fares, and how you pay on the way back, only for the two routes it covers. Locations and stop lists below come from the bus operator's and the airport's own pages. Both get updated, so look at them again in the days before you fly.

Which Incheon terminal will I arrive at?

Incheon has two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and the limousine bus is organised differently in each. The sources behind this guide do not say which airlines use which terminal, so take the terminal from your booking confirmation or boarding pass rather than from a list you find elsewhere, and check it again before you set off for the airport.

Both routes covered here serve both terminals. What changes is where you buy the ticket, which floor you go to, and whether you can board without a ticket. The table sets the two terminals side by side.

If you land and are not sure which building you are in, ask at an information desk before you queue anywhere. The desks for each terminal are listed in the sections below.

How do I get from the baggage hall to the bus?

Work through it in this order.

  1. Clear immigration and collect your bags. The airport describes the route out: After immigration, check the baggage claim carousel number on the display screen; use the elevator or escalator to the 1st floor; claim large baggage from the oversized baggage carousel.
  2. Do not lock yourself into a tight departure before you land. The airport's advice for anyone booking onward transport: Allow 1-2 hours for immigration after the flight lands before a booked departure.
  3. Go to the ticket point for your terminal, described below, and ask for your route number and stop by name.
  4. Keep the ticket somewhere you can reach it, then go to the stop for your route and check the route number on the sign before you join the queue.

Where do I buy a ticket and board at Terminal 1?

At Terminal 1 the ticket points are spread along the first floor, the same floor you reach from baggage claim. There is no single central counter, so it is easy to walk past them. The airport and the bus operator describe the locations a little differently, one by exit number and one by gate number, so both are given here:

  • The airport's description: Terminal 1 bus ticket booths are inside the terminal next to exits 4 and 9, and outside near exits 4, 6, 7, 8, 11 and 13.
  • The operator's staffed counters: T1: 1st floor, inside the ticket offices by Gates 4, 6, 9 and 11.
  • The operator's vending machines: T1: 1st floor, machines by Gates 4, 7, 8 and 11 and around the indoor ticket offices.

If you cannot see a booth, walk along the row of numbered exits. Our sources do not give the stop number for each route at Terminal 1, so ask the booth staff which stop your route leaves from when you buy the ticket.

For directions, the airport bus information desk is the place to start: Airport Bus Information desk near Exit 11 in the public area on 1st Floor, Terminal 1, open 06:00–22:00. Outside those hours, the airport's general information desks on the same floor are listed as staffed around the clock:

  • 24-hour information desk near Exit 5 on 1F, Terminal 1.
  • 24-hour information desk near Exit 10 on 1F, Terminal 1.

One thing to avoid: the airport runs its own shuttle from marked stops on this floor as well. AIRPORT 01 stops at Passenger Terminal 1 3C and 13C on the 1st floor, across from Gates 3 and 13. That is an airport shuttle route, not the limousine bus, so read the route name on the sign before you queue.

Can I board without a ticket at Terminal 1?

It depends on the route. The operator's general rule for buses leaving the airport for the city: Ticket holders board first, and this includes late-night buses. Terminal 1 has one exception to that rule. Routes 6001, 6002 and 6015 at Terminal 1 only are first-come, first-served, and accept cash, a transportation card or a ticket. That covers the Dongdaemun route, 6001. On those three routes at Terminal 1, the queue boards in the order people arrived, whether they hold a ticket or pay with cash or a transport card.

For other city-bound routes, including 6007 to Yeouido, you need a ticket first: Buy a ticket at the ticket booth at Incheon International Airport before boarding.

The staffed counters at Terminal 1 are open 05:40–22:20, except counter 4, which the operator lists as running through the night apart from a closure in the early hours of the morning. The vending machines are listed as open 24 hours, including late-night bus tickets.

Where do I buy a ticket and board at Terminal 2?

At Terminal 2 the limousine ticket points are not on the first floor, where the bus information desk is. They are in the basement, on Basement 1:

  • Staffed counter: Basement 1, towards the west short-term car park.
  • Vending machines: T2: Basement 1, in the concourse, near the bus stops and near the airport railroad entrance.

The airport railway entrance makes a useful landmark, because its own ticket machines are on the same floor. Airport Railroad ticket vending machines and ticket counter are in the Transportation Center, Basement 1 of each terminal. Head down to Basement 1, where the railway entrance is. The limousine vending machines are near the bus stops and the railway entrance; the staffed counter is on the same floor, towards the west short-term car park.

The ticket rule here is stricter than at Terminal 1. Passengers boarding Airport Limousine buses to downtown Seoul at Terminal 2 must buy a ticket in advance, including on routes 6001, 6002 and 6015. The operator dates the rule from 2026-03-05. So buy first, then go to the stop, even for the Dongdaemun route.

The staffed counter is open 04:00–24:00, and the machines are listed as open 24 hours, including late-night bus tickets. If you need help, go back up to the first floor: Airport Bus Information desk open 24 hours near Exit 9 on 1F, Terminal 2. As at Terminal 1, our sources do not give stop numbers by route, so ask at the counter when you buy.

Which limousine bus goes to Dongdaemun, and where does it stop?

Route 6001 serves Dongdaemun, Myeongdong and Seoul Station. The operator's full stop list:

  • Route 6001 (Dongdaemun) stops: Baiton Hotel, Nine Tree Dongdaemun, Western Coop, Novotel Ambassador, Euljiro Coop, Dongdaemun DDP, Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Toyoko Inn Hotel, Myeongdong Station, Bank of Korea, Seoul Station Exit 3, Seoul Station Transfer Center, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2.

Three of those stops carry the Dongdaemun name: Nine Tree Dongdaemun, Dongdaemun DDP and the stop at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (동대문역사문화공원역). The list also names several hotels. If your hotel is named there, use its stop; if not, compare your address with the stop names on a map before you land, so you know where to get off.

The operator lists the route 6001 fare at ₩17,000 for an adult and ₩12,000 for a child.

At the airport end, the rules from the terminal sections apply. At Terminal 1 you can board route 6001 first-come with cash, a transport card or a ticket. At Terminal 2 you buy a ticket at the counter or a machine before boarding.

For the trip back to the airport, the operator's stop list does not say which stops are used in each direction, so confirm your boarding stop with the operator before the day you fly. The operator's rule for buses towards the airport is: Cash or a transportation card (T-money), paid to the driver. Before you leave your hotel, you can see where the bus is. Real-time bus location is available via the Seoul bus information service (bus.go.kr).

Which limousine bus goes to Yeouido, and where does it stop?

Route 6007 serves Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo and Dangsan. The operator's full stop list:

  • Route 6007 (Yeouido) stops: National Assembly (Glad Hotel), Kensington Hotel, Yeouinaru Station, Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, IFC Mall (Conrad Seoul), Korea Exchange, Yeongdeungpo Station, Times Square, Dangsan Station, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2.

The list does not name Yeouido Station (여의도역), so do not wait for a stop by that name. Among the stops on the list are the National Assembly, Yeouinaru Station, IFC Mall and the Korea Exchange. Check on a map which of the listed stops suits your address before you travel, and note its name exactly as the operator spells it.

The operator lists the route 6007 fare at ₩17,000 for an adult and ₩12,000 for a child.

Route 6007 is not one of the Terminal 1 first-come routes, so you need a ticket from a counter or machine before boarding at either terminal. On the way back to the airport, there is nothing to book ahead. There is no advance reservation system, including online, for buses toward the airport. Turn up at the stop with the fare ready, as described for the Dongdaemun route above.

Which terminal stop do I get off at on the way back?

The stop lists for both routes end with Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 as separate stops. Know which terminal your flight leaves from before you board in the city, and check the stop names as the bus reaches the airport so you get off at the right one.

The operator's list for the overnight bus spells out the order on the airport-bound run: N6000 (city to airport) stops: Gangnam Express Bus Terminal, Heukseok Station, Yeomchang Station, Songjeong Station, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, Incheon Airport Terminal 2. For the two routes covered here, the stop lists name both terminals but do not state the calling order by direction, so ask the driver if you are unsure.

What if I am at the wrong terminal or the ticket counter is closed?

You are at the wrong terminal

Take the airport railway between the two terminals. On the Airport Railroad Express line (공항철도), the inter-terminal ride costs ₩1,050 and takes 6 minutes. It is a paid ride, so buy a ticket at the railway machines in Basement 1 before you go through. If you are flying out, add that ride to your timing rather than treating it as a short walk.

The staffed counter is closed

Use a vending machine. The operator lists the machines as open 24 hours, including late-night bus tickets. At Terminal 1, counter 4 is also listed as running through the night, but it closes for a period in the early hours, so do not count on it. At Terminal 1 the Dongdaemun route also accepts cash or a transport card when you board, so a closed counter does not stop you there.

Questions people ask

Do I need a ticket before boarding the Dongdaemun bus at the airport?

At Terminal 1, no: the Dongdaemun route boards first-come, first-served, with cash, a transport card or a ticket. At Terminal 2, yes: buy one at the counter or a machine on the basement level before you go to the stop.

Does the Yeouido bus stop at Yeouido Station?

The operator's stop list does not name it. The route lists stops such as the National Assembly, Yeouinaru Station, IFC Mall and the Korea Exchange, so check which suits your address before you travel. You need a ticket before boarding this route at either terminal.

Where are the limousine ticket machines at Terminal 2?

In the basement concourse, near the bus stops and the airport railway entrance. The operator lists them as open around the clock, so they are the fallback when the staffed counter is shut.

What should I do if I am at the wrong terminal?

Take the airport railway between the two terminals. It is a short paid ride with ticket machines on the basement level. The what-if section above has the fare and journey time.

Which terminal does my airline use?

The sources behind this guide do not list airlines by terminal. Take it from your booking confirmation or boarding pass, and check again before you set off for the airport.
